Without You, nuevo vídeo de Empire Of The Sun y letra

A pesar de los rumores de separación, el dúo australiano Empire Of The Sun acaba de estrenar vídeo, Without You, cuarto single extraído de su álbum debut Walking On A Dream.

Cuando hace casi un año descubrí a estos chicos, lo primero que pensé es que serían los MGMT del 2009, y así está siendo. A medida que fui viendo sus vídeos mi siguiente duda era dónde estaba la línea que separa la innovación de la horterada más kitsch. Aunque aún le voy dando vueltas, lo cierto es que su disco es uno de los que lleva meses aguantando en mi Ipod y así seguirá.

Este nuevo vídeo sigue la línea futurista y barroca de sus anteriores, aunque quizá con un punto de melancolía, no sabemos si por la supuesta separación. Veo este Withou You, así como toda la estética del grupo, como una mezcla de David Bowie en Dentro del Laberinto, La Historia Interminable y las camisetas de mercadillo de husky siberiano con indio apache en fondo negro. Sí, yo tampoco me entiendo a veces.
